The world’s first electronic brow make-up applicator that brings you almost microblading-levels of brow perfection – it’s the L’Oréal Brow Magic and it’s a game-changing beauty gadget that just debuted at CES 2023.
L’Oreal is truly the highlight of CES 2023 and it’s no wonder the CES Innovation award is theirs if you look at these devices.
The company came to the world’s biggest technology fair with an innovative lipstick applicator for people with mobility challenges (more on that here) AND this baby, the L’Oréal Brow Magic.
“Developed by L’Oréal in partnership with the tech company Prinker, a pioneer in printed, non-permanent tattoos, L’Oréal Brow Magic makes professional-like results accessible at home. Using 2,400 tiny nozzles and printing technology with up to 1,200 drops per inch (dpi) printing resolution, L’Oréal Brow Magic is the first handheld, lightweight, electronic brow makeup applicator to provide consumers with their most precise brow shape in seconds,” explains L’Oreal.

And yes, it’s temporary makeup you can remove with anything, including your micellar water. And that’s not the only feature it comes with – it also includes augmented reality.
Plus, this electronic eyebrow applicator also uses L’Oréal’s Modiface AR technology to give you advice on what to do with your eyebrows to best compliment your features, from microblading, micro-shading, or filler effects.
Many other beauty gadgets, like smart mirrors, can do analysis and recommendations, but can they do perfect brows? So far, we haven’t seen one, but the L’Oréal Brow Magic looks like it can cast that spell.
Here’s how the company says the electronic eyebrow gadget works:
- Open the L’Oréal Brow Magic app and scan face with the Modiface brow reader
- Select desired shape, thickness, and effect
- Brush the L’Oréal Brow Magic primer through brows
- Move the printer across the eyebrow in a single, sweeping motion
- Apply a topcoat finish to lock in the look
The company says it will launch the L’Oreal Brow Magic this year, alongside the Lancome HAPTA lipstick applicator, and I for one can’t wait to see it in stores.
